* Sorry, i couldn't think of a more creative title.
This has probably been discussed before, but i find it odd how the Disney people had her as Hercules' mother when, in the myth, she hated Hercules and even treated to murder him. I suppose Disney had to alter things to make it a family-friendly movie, but still...
With regards to the Disney version alone though, I was really mesmerised by her. She was so poised and regal and elegant. And so tender and motherly with her son. I kinda wish they showed more of her in the movie. I believe there's more of her in the TV series, but i have yet to see all the episodes. (I never caught them on the Disney channel, but now i'm watching them on youtube.)

She's a lot better than the Jealous monster she is in the myth. But I guess you can hardly blame her. Zeus was quite the player.

In the myth she makes Herc go crazy and kill Meg and his children. That's the reason for his 12 labors. Though I think some of his labors they showed in the movie when they sang Zero to Hero, but I can't rightly remember at the moment.
I do like how Disney changed her. The look they gave her also was quite pleasant. Made her fit what she was supposed to be head of.

I much prefer the Disney version. Sure, in the myth she was this jealous, b*tch on wheels, but still, she's fits a better role as being motherly. I just sometimes prefer Disney's way of changing things from the real situation.

Disney always changes dark plot point, it's nothing new.
I do prefer her as she is in the Disney version even if she hardly does anything.
